Girls on Film was created for a friend on his 59th birthday.

For this book, I looked through old slides and negatives, work that had been put away in boxes for two decades. Most of these pictures are from my college years. A happy time, spent photographing every day. I photographed for the campus newspaper, for myself, and for my classes.

Every great face was available to me. During those years, only twice was my request for a sitting met with a no.
