This book of images of China in the 1980s is based on photographs taken by Martin Currie in the course of three visits to lecture in economics in Shanghai.
Following an introductory assortment of images, there are sections on People; People and Water; Beijing, with its Forbidden City and Summer Palace; the Li River meandering amongst Guangxi's unique karst limestone peaks; and the enchanting West Lake at Hangzhou.
I have taken photographs for many years. In my pre-digital days, I used to take transparencies. My favourite activities are travel and wildlife photography.
