About the Book
Smelling the Flowers From Horseback Realms of Allah is about stolen images--images shot on the run--in journeys through North Africa , the MIddle East and Central Asia, from the mud-brick skyscrapers of Yemen to the madrassahs of Uzbekistan, from Morocco's casbah country to Jordan's haunting canyon city of Petra.
His camera gallivants, but always with time for the resilient, often misunderstood peoples of Allah's realms. And the 1001 Arabian Nights infiltrating his imagination, he confesses to casting the occasional glance skyward for flying carpets.
