About the Book
HIGH LIFE is a collection of articles describing some of our most memorable experiences on rock, ice and mountains across the world – from our apprenticeship with the Oxford University Mountaineering Club, a near-death experience in the French Alps, to a tongue-in-cheek description of an unsupported expedition to an un-climbed 6000m peak in the Himalaya.
Formed in 1876, the Oxford Alpine Club is one of the country's oldest mountaineering clubs. Today, as well as providing a network of friends who share a passion for mountaineering, we also publish guidebooks to some of the world's less well-known climbing destinations.
