Standing on the banks of the Glenmore Reservoir, Heritage Park is a unique urban park. Acting as a connection between our rural past and our modern urban lives, it serves to remind us of where we came from and, hopefully understand who we are and what we can be.
This is a personal diary that evolved over 3 years of shooting. It shows the park in all its moods and seasons, the people who keep the park alive and all the small things that make it a special place.
John lives in Calgary, Alberta with his wife, three children and two elderly but determined Shi Tzus. He spends his working hours as a flight dispatcher and when he's not pushing tin, he's trying to find time to go out and photograph things. John shoots Olympus E-Series digital cameras and a well worn 1950's Ricoh 500 rangefinder.
