This is the ultimate project, marrying crafts to photography. Tom has photographed many of the crafts I have made over the past 45 years. And after being photographed many were gifted to family and friends. I thought a book reviewing all I did over so many years would be fun. Then I thought it would be great to tie everything together by making some imaginative and inventive pictures of the items I made for us.

The earliest projects started in 1967 when Tom and I were first married and living in San Anselmo. He bought me an easel, brushes and everything else I needed to paint. At the same time I was making crafts for Christmas and other holidays. And believe it or not one of my first projects was an Easter cake! That was my first and last crafty cake effort. Didn’t like that there was nothing to show in the end except dirty dishes

CRAFTY will show a lot of different mediums: Painting, paper mache, beading, decorat3E boxes, strung pearls, polymer clay objects, petit point bookmarks, painted bisque and more. The pearls were the hardest and probably the prettiest objects I have crafted but the sock puppets were the most surprisingly well done. Some day I want to take another try at paper mache!

Hope you have half as much fun reading this book as I had making all the items.
