Neon-green lawns, concrete cul-de-sacs, and a rotary clothesline spinning in the breeze are some of the images of suburban life explored in the photography book Instaburb: 50 Images of Australian Suburbia.
One of the first curated books of Australian mobile photography, the publication is the result of a nation-wide competition seeking photographs of Australian suburbs shot and processed on mobile phones.
Held during October last year, the Instaburb competition was facilitated by the photography-sharing social media application Instagram.
The images included in the book were
selected from over 2,200 submissions across Australia.
Instaburb is sponsored by Blurb Australia, Dumbo Feather and Carter Digital.
