About the Book
The story of a family's evacuation from New Orleans, during the 2005 hurricane, from the perspective of five year old Celeste. In the confusion she leaves behind the one toy she was allowed to bring - her new doll. Twenty-seven original paintings help tell this tale of loss, change, and finding joy in simple things.
