About the Book
I Can Make Life, Nicole Breit's debut poetry collection, chronicles the poet's long journey to give birth to her son -- and to find peace. The collection explores the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual impact of fertility treatments, pregnancy, miscarriage, and birth. It was a finalist for the 2012 Mary Ballard Poetry Prize, and has been hailed by poet Laisha Rosnau as "devastating and beautiful...a gorgeous memoir in verse".
Nicole Breit is a writer based in Vancouver, Canada. She is the owner of Sparrow Writing + Editorial Services, the former Food Health editor for Thrifty & Green magazine, and a contributor to hubpages.com, where she writes about travel, parenting, green living, and more.
