In FIVE MINUTES IN AMERICA, eleven year old author Alden Sylvester shares some highlights from two years of his young life's journey.
In his book Alden tells us of places of interest which he and his family researched and visited, along with the many interesting people he met along the way. He introduces us to a variety of interesting people, ranging from "man-in-the-street" interviews to celebrity encounters, all of whom his father John photographed.
Alden learned that everyone has a story to tell and he is convinced that the heart of that story can usually be felt in five minutes through the classic questions of Who?, What?, Where?, When? and Why?

I am a 6th grade student. I wrote this book to share my adventures with other kids. I hope this shows that you don't have to be wealthy to have adventures. I'm planning on going to MIT some day to study Aerospace Engineering and go on to work for NASA. Hopefully I'll sell enough books to pay some of my tuition.
