About the Creator
Sculpture is my passion-I must create-it is my reason for being here. Art has always been a part of my life, even when other roles were present: a teaching career, a family, and a travel career. Twenty years ago, I had the time to devote all of my time to my art. I enhanced my creative drive through study at home and abroad. My sculptures deal with connections, the connection of one person to another and the connections of human beings to the Earth itself. The sculptures derive from elements of the Earth: clay, metal, stone and pigments,.The elements are molded and hammered and coaxed into human forms., They are connected. I have exhibited at the Illinois Institute of Art, The Chicago Cultural Center, and will have pieces at the Harold Washington Library early 2011. I am represented by the Chicago Art Source Gallery and Gallery H in Three Oaks Michigan. I am currently working on clay and metal groupings at my studio in Evanston, at the Noyes Cultural Art Center.
