About the Book
My original idea was to just do some street photography on the Brooklyn Bridge that day as part of my ongoing collection of my personal projects outside of fashion and music. But instead of photographing people, like I normally would, I found what they had left behind - love locks. Love locks have been found in Paris, Cologne, Budapest, and Seoul, but popped up in Rome around 2005 after locals started copying the characters in Federico Moccia's novel "Ho Voglia di Te" (I Want You).

Photographer, David Shults, is based in Brooklyn, New York. His work in fashion and music has been published in magazines across the US and Europe. "For me, photography, and especially fashion photography is about developing a rapport with the model... it takes a level of comfort to get that look and to be able to capture someone at their core, whether on the runway, or in the studio." Remember, it's not just an image - you're spending part of our day with someone.
