This volume is a unique collection of watercolors spanning the many decades of the talented Midwestern watercolor painter, Gladys Becker. Her work as originally guided by former classmates and eventual mentor, Irving Shapiro, evidences a long term progression from her start as a gifted ink wash based illustrator into a traditional watercolorist and recipient of many prestigious awards and recognition by different national painting societies. The milestone of her recent passing revives the imagery and aspirations of a postwar era's that celebrate the notable accomplishments of a female artists of that time .
A digitally based artist with many international exhibition credits to his name, Scott Becker, has been creating work plumbing the depths of politics and culture for nearly a quarter century. His work has been seen in festivals and other venues in France, Germany, U.K., Portugal, Bulgaria, Australia and Japan.
