A collection of photographs remembering a family home of sixteen years in rural Missouri.
Byron and Deanne McKeown have spent the many years of their lives together as artists exploring possibilities. The cross collection that appears in their book, 'Cross Culture', has been created through their love of travel and research. The history of each cross has been carefully researched in America and Europe -- the actual pieces created by hand, then cast in sterling silver, bronze or gold. The McKeowns have lived in Sedona, Arizona for thirty years and have owned three galleries there, featuring their own work. They create in a variety of media: Byron works with metals and wood, creating collectable walking sticks, letter knives and collages. Deanne designs jewelry, works in clay and wax to create bronze sculpture and explores two-dimensional media.
