Dedication August 12 2008 in the City of Taunton Massachusetts at the Hopewell Park Pavillion of the of the new park pavillion building named in the honor of city resident Sam Turin who dedicated his life to service in his community. Photographs of the dedication featuring Mayor Charles Crowley, Father William Kelly, Senator Marc Pacheco, and Representative James Fagan. Sam and his wife Yvonne have lived in Taunton for 41 years. They have three children, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren many of whom appear in the book at the ceremony.

An artist and musician with degrees from Boston Museum School, Nova Scotia College Art and Design, Rensselear Polytechnic, and Bridgewater State College; for thirty five years I have worked in both traditional folk arts and modern electronic art (video, performance art, installation art, electronic sound arts) as well as folk music and electronic music. I served 9 years as technical director of RISD and 6 years as a technical theater director at UMASS system. My wife Sandy is a photographer as well and together we shoot occasional events. I have been a guitarist for 35 years at present but have moved to dobro, lapsteel, and other slide instruments over the past 15 years, mixing my acoustic music with my knowledge of electronic music to create a hybred of my own.
