About the Book
This series of photographs document two separate areas along the main road of Honiara. Exploring the different nature of human body language from the day to day tasks to having carefree fun.
Situated on Mendana Ave, the shop
'Mas Shopping' sells a mixture of small electrical items, everyday goods and tee shirts directed at tourists. Capturing the people of Honiara go about their day, we get to see
As the people of Honiara go about their day they carry items like an empty card board box or a carton of SolBrew Beer in a shopping bag as though the man has finished his weekly shop. Strolling through the main street often wearing nothing on the soles of their feet.
In contrast not far down the same stretch of road on Kukum Hwy, a group of youths exhibit to the camera their diving skills. Showcasing a fearless and carefree nature as they enjoy the summertime.
Each one trying to outdo the others.
