"Aboard Sea Shadow at Friday Harbor" is a delightfully down to earth poetry collection and memoir by my poet friend and former English teacher Lee Partain. What started out as a simple collection of poems written over the years grew into an intimate encounter with a creative, humorous, and deeply personal take on family, education, religion, journeys, Pop culture and Ozark memories. A sense of somber reverence peeks out from between more light-hearted pieces.
As Lee's technical editor and fellow poet, I am thrilled to be the first to release his long-awaited work here at Blurb.

I love many art forms, but am especially drawn to the innate lyricism of both music and poetry. I am a musician, writer, singer, dancer, photographer, and gardener. My primary business is performing, teaching, and publishing music for the Celtic Harp. I perform in a duo called Celtic Muse with Valerie Blessley--look us up on the web and at CD Baby.
I have been drawn to poetry my whole life, using word expression as a way of claiming who I am and what I think is important. Significant themes are wonder and awe at the natural world, the power of love and hope, and the importance of spiritual exploration. Digital photography has opened a brilliant new world for me, creating a comfortable companion to my writings. I am both Wiccan and Unitarian Universalist. Writing and music is a deep part of who I am, and who I'd like you, dear reader, to meet.
I am also a parent of three amazing children, a wife, and small-time farmer. Thank you for your support of Independent Artists everywhere!
