I am a special education science and Spanish teacher. Along with teaching, I run my own photography business, A Unique View Photography. I have been published in National Geographic and Parade Magazine and won numerous contests at both the local and international levels. My photos have even appeared on the Kodak screen at Time's Square in New York City. I am interested in topics that deal with environmental and conservation issues around the world. Over the past several years I have received fellowships to work with the NOAA Teacher at Se Program, National Endowment for Humanities at the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, Japan-U.S. Teacher Exchange program for sustainable development, Earthwatch program on climate change in mammals of Nova Scotia, and the Toyota International Teacher Program to the Galapagos Islands to learn about environmental sustainability.
