About the Book
"After the American Century" is a photowork on American culture in the decade following the attacks of September 11, 2001. Comprised of two sequences of photographs plus a critical essay on the legacy of Walker Evans (the book's chief influence), the work is a poetic investigation of the aftermath of a century of American political and cultural hegemony, what many have called "the American century."
