The Art of Letting Go is a spiraling emotional journey. This collection of poems spans twenty years of life as experienced by the author. The writings explore the roller coster ride of happiness and sadness, light and dark, hope and resignation.
This collection started as random writings in several scattered notebooks. However, there seemed to be common threads and emotions in the writing that fit together easily to create a story about catharsis.
The author's intent is to provide these poems as a template so that you, the reader, may add your own interpretation as it relates to your journey through life based upon the four constants of:
Earth - Foundation
Fire - Destruction
Wind - Love
Water - Cleanse
Accompanying the poetry is a selection of photographs; some that add illustration to the verse and others that simply capture the beauty of the world. The journey outlined in this collection provides the discovery that, "Only a fool wishes to completely let go of darkness. Equally foolish is the one who avoids embracing the light."
