This is the first book in a series of books to examine each separate body of work Todd Bartel has developed since he claimed collage as his vocation in 1983. This volume offers a glimpse into Bartel's early collages as an emerging artist. The catalog provides thirty one examples of work created between the artist's late undergraduate years at the Rhode Island School of Design up to the point of pursuing his MFA degree.
