Come with me on a journey into every-day dereliction: old farmhouses, windmills, broken-down trucks, overgrown buildings, flaking paint on splintering timber; life and afterlife. These photos were all taken in rural South Australia, mostly near my own home region in the Barossa Valley. They are just a miniscule sample of the wealth of reminders our dry state offers passers-by of the harsh conditions of earlier settlement.
