Trash The Dress photography is a wellknown phenomenon in the USA since the late 90's.
"Trash the dress" is the art of destruction or deconstruction of a bride's wedding dress to create a new artwork that the bride would be proud of to display on her wall. [Wikipedia]

'Drown the Gown', 'Running of the Brides' and 'Rock The Frock' are similar names for these fine art photography projects, mixed with beauty, fashion and glamour.

In the Netherlands Melanie Rijkers (MeRy) & Hans van Nunen of www.Artstudio23.com created their first group TTD in 2007 & 08.08.08. The big 09.09.09 event became known worldwide, with 99+ brides wearing their wedding dress once more.

(the Netherlands, though Melanie accepts jobs worldwide) Artistic photography and reportages since 1996. Member of GKf, professional photographers of the Netherlands.
Hans joined Artstudio23 fulltime in 2007, after having worked as a professional decorator for 15 years. Now they're both specialised in weddings, portraits & business photography.
