About the Book
The book is in two sections, "water" and "ashes". The images are connected through time - all of them were created over long (for a camera) time periods in order to capture the sensory experiences associated with looking at real things, in real time, rather than an image captured in less than a 1/100th of a second. The images shift and flicker, sometimes appear to be in focus, and then again, they move away from sharpness into abstract shapes.
