About the Book
Hangar Flying is about the ‘other side’ of aviation — the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who work behind the scenes to keep the planes flying. From post-war Britain, through cold war Europe, South East Asia, the Middle East and the Canadian Arctic, to working as a regulator for the National Aviation Authorities of the United Kingdom and Canada, the author recounts his experiences in military and civil aviation during a lifetime in aircraft maintenance.
