At the peak of the dot-com era San Francisco
experienced a building surge. Vintage painted signs
were revealed as buildings were torn down. Here are
many of these signs photographed. Many have been
blocked off or destroyed. There is now an effort to
preserve these charming tokens of a city's past.
Bailey has been photographing city streets for many years. She studied filmmaking, continuing her work in photography in San Francisco where she lived for ten years. Bailey's work has been in numerous exhibitions, and is in museum and private collections.
