My poetry begins and ends with prayer. Jesus, His redeeming Death on the Cross, and trust in God’s desire to draw us ever closer to Him in Holy Love, is the music that makes my heart sing. I turn a listening ear to the rhapsody that plays throughout the Universe and Time to catch the notes that sound in the present moment. All creation sings God’s song.

About the Author

Joann Nelander
intostillnes Albuquerque, New Mexico

I am a wife, a mother, a graduate of the Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing in NYC. I am the commissioned artist of the large Icon, Jesus King of All Nations, that has traveled the world on pilgrimage. I, also, created the prototype for the stain glass window of Our Lady of Medjugorje in the chapel of Caritas, in Birmingham, Alabama. I am a photographer (Photo-Jo/smugmug ), a writer, published in Catholic Charismatic Magazine, an avid blogger and poet.
I live loving God and the Roman Catholic Church, grateful for the Faith with which I am blessed. I am in awe of God's good creation. Daily Mass helps keep me focused and aware of God’s presence. I try to live in that awareness depending on His grace. Through my writing I communicate my Faith.
My writing is my outreach. My part will be as small as I am, but God can use the gifts He gives me. My best efforts aren't enough, I place my works under the patronage of the Immaculata that I may "do whatever He tells you."
