I drive around a lot. A lot. One day it occurred to me that the ubiquitous white lines on paved roads function in an interesting way: visually they suggest the beginnings of a frame. Aesthetically they can be very beautiful, a counterpoint to the organic landscape beyond. Conceptually they suggest a barrier, but physically they present none.

Like a jazz musician riffing on a set of notes, I wondered what would happen if I focused on this idea everywhere I went, for one week. This group of images is the result.
