For all the thousands of hours we spend in the bedroom- by definition most of them are with our eyes closed.

It is our most private of spaces within the house- where we retreat when we want to be alone, to rest, to recompose. For this reason, perhaps it is the least self-conscious of our rooms. In some way it represents a reflection of our retreat away from the outside, public world, into ourselves.

I became curious to investigate the appearance of these rooms which we live in most and see the least, just as they are when we leave them in the morning.

These are the homes of my friends and neighbors- the ones who said yes... not all of them did.
