About the Book
Novenas have been prayed in the Church for centuries. Every saint has had devotees who turned to them in prayer -- praying for their intercession -- asking for that special grace or intention for which their hearts were longing. And their prayers were answered. Hearts were turned from sin, bodies were healed, marriages and families restored. Nine, the number of completion, still brings us to answered prayer in the fullness of time.

Spent many years teaching at community colleges. Eventually went back to school and became a library cataloguer for the last 15 years before retirement. I have always dabbled in art in all its various forms. Now I work entirely on the computer, drawing with the mouse. As for icons, I have always been attracted to them long before I had any understanding of them. I am very grateful to see my church (Catholic) begin to use icons once again in its prayer and worship.
