About the Author
Adela Holmes was born in Poland in 1970. At age 11 her and her family escaped to West Berlin, Germany. She was told they were never to return, nor visit home.
Berlin was fun, the 80ties were great. As a teenager, she didn’t feel the presence of the wall. There were too many distractions such as parties and clubs.
At the age 21, Holmes moved to the United Stated and started a family.
After two kids, a collage degree and a divorce, she struggled as a single mother to be a full time employee and a half time mom. She decided to quit her job and started freelancing.
She became an assistant to the artist Laura DiNello who handed her a camera as a gift. And that’s how her photography career started.
