Southeast Asia is an exotic place of vast contrasts. It contains some of the greatest archeological sites in the world including Angkor Wat, as well as gruesome reminders of the Vietnam War and Cambodian genocide, all in a setting of incredible tropical beauty. This tour in July, 2012 explored all these sites and more, traveling by boat, cycles, rickshaw, ox carts, and whatever else could get through the rivers, canals, jungles, swamps, and city streets. This tiny area on the opposite side of the globe has many fascinating stories to tell and this book has captured a few.
