About the Book
FORWARD
"The faces in this book are a reflection of strangers coming together,
united by purpose and passion, to attempt to build a better world, and
in the process a community was born.
The Occupy Eugene experience has taught many of us that we are not
alone, that we are not simply a spectator in the world we live in.
That we matter and what we do matters. We affirm this truth to each
other.
More so It is true, that alone, each of us can do so little; but
together we can accomplish so much. The Occupy Eugene experience has
also taught us that it won't be easy. But it is better to struggle
together, than it is to struggle alone. It is better to celebrate
together, than it is to celebrate alone. Therefore through trials and
tribulations, perhaps Occupy Eugene's greatest contribution to a
better world has been it's creation of a community.
May the faces in these pages fill you with a vitality, a realness, and
a potency of what is possible in a community when people care and
believe in the power of change." - Peace, Love, Joy, Wisdom.
