This book project was inspired by the Kasaya, a Buddhist monastic robe and is often seen in various shades of vermilion.

The elusive orange-red colour takes on interesting hues when seen in different light exposures. It is my attempt to capture the dramatic contrast against the backdrop of temple ruins in Angkor Wat.

'Vermilion' is a follow up to an earlier publication, 'Angkor The Lost Kingdom'. Most of the photographs were staged and shot in Siem Reap, Cambodia in 2010.

I enjoy travel photography. Designing photobooks is my passion and a great way of displaying my travel photos. Once you're into photography, the learning never stops! As for me, the greatest challenge is to be able to look at a photo and know what are the short comings, and how it can be improved.
