I was born in Standish, MI in 1950. I am the middle child of three children. My father was born and raised in Tawas City and my mother in Alpena, MI. We lived in Tawas until I was 10 years old. When I was 8 years old our father passed away suddenly of a heart attack at age 39. In a flash our lives went from happy and carefree to sad and lonely.

In 1960 our mother remarried and we moved to Davison, MI Where we were taken in by the Thompson family and loved as their own. They have been very good to us over the years.

We are all grown and married with children and grandchildren, but we each still hold a special place in our hearts for Tawas City and our roots there.
