The reality that daily surrounds us is far greater than what we can perceive with our limited senses. Just as countless camouflaged living things cross our paths but totally escape our attention, there is camouflaged divinity in every nook and cranny of the created order. With our increased awareness, living things - both plants and animals - can teach us much about life here and now, as well as giving us insights into present and future spiritual realities.
Divine Reflections in Living Things (as well as its two companion titles, Divine Reflections in Times and Seasons and Divine Reflections in Natural Phenomena) encourage us to open our eyes and take a fresh look at what is around us - to see each living thing and every process as if for the first time.
Alexander and Eva Peck write from a Christian and international background. Through their Christian work and English teaching, they have experienced a range of cultures, having lived in Australia, USA, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. As a result, they have interacted with believers from a variety of faith traditions. Their view is that different faith perspectives can enrich one’s own spiritual path. They value nondenominational and ecumenical approach. After receiving postgraduate qualifications in education, Alexander earned two Masters degrees in Australia with an emphasis in Christian spirituality. Eva, who has an undergraduate degree in science and postgraduate diploma in education, also completed a Masters degree in theology.
