Facer, (my Grandfather) Band Sergeant with the 1st Btn Devonshire Regiment, and it gives an intriguing insight into the life of a soldier on the Front Line. After the war ended he famously became Bandmaster of the 1st Btn Essex Regiment, ALL PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF THIS BOOK WILL GO TO THE ESSEX REGIMENTAL MEMORIAL FUND AND THE KEEP MUSEUM (DEVONSHIRE REGT.)
