About the Book
An Autumn Landscape
As a social photographer I have always been more interested in people than in landscape photography. When I moved to the Venetian countryside I started going for walks with my Jack Russell Terriers, Pixel and Jay Peg. I took my iPhone along with me for security and slowly started to use it to take photos using the Instagram app. I consider Instagram an exercise in discipline and restraint. It is like an old fashioned Polaroid, you either keep the photo or scrap it. You have to decide which digital filter to use and then share it. I am still not very interested in landscape "per se" but see it more as textures, volumes, shades, shadows, light, colors, clouds and the way these interact with each other. The route is always the same. I try to observe new details as the seasons change. This is how I enjoy looking at landscapes.
