About the Book
While travelling in northern India, i decided to document barber shops.
This book contains a series of black & white photographs of barber shops taken on route.
Barber shops are more of an institution in India: not only do they carry out essential grooming but they become a male hub of social interaction, too. Each shop had a different personality with its own version of ageing chrome and leather barber's chairs and swiftly wielded straight razors. They drew me in immediately.
