What started in 2012 as a warm-up exercise during a National Writing Project Summer Invitational Institute quickly became a small collection of personal recollections of Missouri fly fishing, told through free-verse poetry.

Within these lines, you see a boy's vision of his father, stories of victory, memories, growing up, and the promise of many afternoons to come, "waist deep in God's clearest waters".
