Click to preview Berliner U-bahn photo book

I began photographing the Berlin underground train station signage days after arriving in the German capital. The U-bahn effortlessly unravels this fascinating city, making it an unforgettable place to explore.

Reminders of Berlin's tumultuous and captivating history are everywhere, and the clash of cultures, styles and ideas that define the city, make traversing the Berlin underground a unique experience. The 101 Zone A U-bahn stations are as vibrant and diverse as Berlin itself. Each station is both one of a kind and part of a stylistic theme that is identifiable across each of the network's nine lines.

The stations in this book are presented in geographical order from west to east.
