Since my first safari in South Africa in 1993 the big cats of Africa have fascinated me and I became a keen wildlife photographer. The photographs in this book are reflections of some of the most memorable moments of this and other safaris over the years.
It is hard to describe the excitement and sense of awe generated by seeing these magnificent animals in their own habitat but I hope that my photographs in this book will bring a sense of this to you. I have been fortunate that each subsequent safari provided new opportunities to see and photograph previously unseen characteristics and behaviour. To this extent the book reflects my own growing awareness of and admiration for these big cats.
