Jim Toun Gordon has been traveling the world all of his life. In 2007 he initiated the Urban Camper group to chronicle his travels throughout his home state of Texas. The purpose of the group was to hone his skills as an organized traveler while learning the history that each town or area provides. The initial plan was to camp prior to exploring the area of his choice. Thus Jim has expanded his travels to include at least one major vacation per year.
Jim Toun Gordon was born in Udonthani, Thailand, but grew up in Brazoria, Texas from the time he was 6 months until he was 17. After a stint attending Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas he moved to Branson, Missouri where he honed his photography skills. He currently resides in Houston, Texas where he works as a photographer.
