A friend of mine is a pilot. He called me up one Saturday evening in July, asking if I wanted to tag along on a trip the following day. He had to take a private jet from the Midlands up to Inverness in Scotland, and then bring a helicopter back down. The only catch? I had to set my alarm for 4:30am. These photographs are the result.
