Yellowstone is a place of great contrasts – waterfalls, fresh water rivers, geysers, hot springs, bubbling mudpots, and steaming fumaroles. Its hydrothermal features are a result of the tremendous heat released by the underlying body of magma.
It is a feast for the senses and a great place to get some exercise too. One of my favourite places on our planet.
