Gems from the Edge of the Earth is a look at the surrounding landscape through the eyes of oil painter Diana Moses Botkin.
Most of the paintings shown are diminutive; postcard size or smaller. Like sparkling gems, they reflect a worth greater than their size.
The paintings shown in this volume highlight the charms of the area of Idaho where the artist lives. Most of these works are in private collections and aren't easily viewed by the public. In Gems from the Edge of the Earth, readers can see these paintings without having to go knocking on the doors of collectors!
