About the Ebook
In 1993, after a short and turbulent history, the central European state of Czechoslovakia dissolved into two separate countries. On the eve of the twentieth anniversary of the Velvet Divorce, journalist, photographer and translator Paul Kaye cycled along the new border between the Czechs and the Slovaks, to survey the state of the divide and the people that live along it.
I live in London and work for the European Commission, responsible for helping to promote language learning and the language industry. Before that I worked as an EU translator in Brussels, and previously for a decade as an environment policy journalist. I now indulge my journalistic tendencies by crossing them with interests in culture, history, travel and photography.
