Years after his retirement, former Newsday staff photographer, Dick Kraus has produced 2 volumes of illustrated examples of some of his most interesting experiences, In his 42 years covering news stories, he has photographed every President from Eisenhower to Clinton as well as celebrities fro show business and sports.

Some of his examples are exciting, some are humorous and some are sad. That's what journalism is all about.

As Kraus puts it, "I am an ordinary man who was privileged to live an extraordinary life."
