About the Book
The exotic state of Rajasthan is situated in the north-western part of India. Its rich and colourful heritage, along with its many forts, palaces, lakes and wildlife makes it a photographer's paradise.
But the jewel in Rajasthan's crown is its people. The vast majority live a very simple lifestyle working on the land and living with basic facilities but they are some of the friendliest and hospitable people you could ever wish to meet. We were greeted with happy smiles and a very warm welcome wherever we went.
Our 2,200 mile journey took us to the popular tourist cities of Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and Jaipur as well as the lesser-known destinations of Karauli, Bundi, Chittorgarh and Bikaner. Ramathra, Ranthambore, Jhadol, Siana and Bera provided the perfect opportunity to get away from the crowded and bustling cities and enjoy some of the more remote rural areas.
The pages of this book contain some of the many photographs taken on our journey through this amazing part of India.
