About the Book
The inspiration for Saniya Art comes from nature, poetry and literature. For him, the portrait and the natural world convey a sense of inner spirit. His art work reflects this spirituality by depicting life as a journey. His images express the beauty of God's creation which always finds a way to endure hardships and ultimately experience a rebirth. Saniya Art is about life, lose, and love. These pieces remind us of every aspect of life - its emotion, its inherent optimism, its harmony, its struggles and its triumphs - all within the humble, yet immensely gratifying, truth of the glory to the purest Spirit of art creation. These remarkable images were taken within a fourteen year span. The photo collection was done with 35mm film. Photos were taken from Maine to Texas. These pieces represent his vision and dream to fulfill the creation of a masterpiece and to the most remarkable expression of fine art photography.

About the Creator
Toro Saniya Vaun

Toro Saniya Vaun was born in 1977 in the midst of genocide in Cambodia. A survivor of the Killing Fields during the Cold War, he left Cambodia at age four. During the next eleven years, he and his family moved to five refugee camps along the Thai border. When he came to the United States at age fifteen, he spoke no English. A 1996 graduate of Portland High School, he went to Maine College of Art as a photography major. A painter, photographer, and entrepreneur, he now lives in West Texas and calls Cambodia, Maine, and Texas home.
